History
Like the history of stamps themselves, Shachihata has a rich and wonderful background. We started in 1925 as ink chemists and stamp pad manufacturers. The Xstamper® was born in 1964 while doing R & D on a more durable rubber marker nib. While performing numerous experiments, to our surprise the addition of salt into an experimental rubber compound resulted in the development of cellular rubber for the most durable pre-inked stamps ever made. Later, we also pioneered and developed laser manufacturing for faster and better print quality.

Where We Are Today
What started as a small stamp-making business more than 90 years ago has blossomed into a multi-million dollar a year operation that includes more than nine facilities and nearly 2,000 employees worldwide. We’re proud that our products are available in several major languages and in over 80 countries.

What We Offer
An extensive line of stock and custom made Xstamper® pre-inked stamps, ClassiX® self-inking stamps as well as traditional stamps and daters. In addition we offer Xecutive® engraved signage, name badges, plaques, and awards. Our vast Artline® markers and pen selection are high-quality and very popular worldwide. Our goal is to bring you a one-stop shopping experience for all your marking product needs that is both efficient and pleasant.

The Xstamper® brand consists of pre-inked rubber stamps that require no stamp pad. Our built-in ink reservoir system allows clear, continuous stamping for years of use. A variety of Xstamper® products are available, including the newly developed line of ergonomic products.

We also offer a complete line of industrial pre-inked and traditional stamps for permanent marking on glass, metal, wood or plastic. These industrial traditional stamps are made of high-quality rubber to hold up to oil based inks used in our special Hi-Seal® industrial stamp pads.

Artline® products are markers and pens available for many purposes, including industrial, educational, arts and crafts, and home and office use. With a wide range of products and vivid ink colors, Artline® continues to innovate and develop writing instruments that enhance the comfort and creativity of the people who use them.

Online proofing capability, which lets you see how the finished product will look before you make your purchase. Choose from a variety of common styles or create your own design using the most sophisticated design elements.

Glossary

Pre-Inked Stamps: A pre-inked stamp holds ink within its own ink-saturated die, eliminating the need for an ink pad. Simply press the pre-inked stamp against the paper to make a clean impression.

Laser Engraved: Laser engravers can create detailed graphics, replicate intricate logos, and engrave at various depths for a more textured finished product. All Xstamper® stamps are laser engraved using the latest laser technology. This process is by far the most convenient and offers the best quality impression.

Self-Inking Stamps: Self-inking stamps are sold by almost every independent stamp manufacturer. In ClassiX® by Xstamper®, the self-inking stamp has a special mount that has a built-in ink pad and spring mechanism that automatically re-inks the die between impressions.

Steel Stamps: With heavy-duty construction and precision components, these stamps ensure a smooth, quiet action. They are best used for rugged environments or where high-volume stamping occurs.

Plastic Stamps: Economical with a lightweight yet very durable construction, these stamps are perfect for everyday use. They have been well-engineered for both ease and frequency of use.

Traditional Stamps: Popular in large part due to their reasonable price and their quick delivery time; however, the ink pad that is necessary is messy and inconvenient. Most of these stamps are made with a photopolymer die. The dies are made of rubber if they will be used with non-porous (fast dry) inks. Our Artline® ink pads are heavily pigmented and produce a darker, bolder impression than competitive products.

Photopolymer Stamps:
Dies made from liquid photopolymer are quickest and least expensive for one of a kind dies. Hard sheet clear photopolymer is used as a master when the same design will be mass produced.

Vulcanized Rubber:
Vulcanization is the process of treating crude or synthetic rubber or similar plastic material chemically to give it useful properties such as elasticity, strength, and stability. Vulcanized dies are made with hard sheet polymer, pressed under heat and pressure into a matrix. This matrix is the mold for gum rubber and vulcanized to make the rubber stamp die.

Non-porous inks: Inks used to make a permanent mark on glass, plastic, metal or glossy paper. Usual drying time of 15 seconds or less.

Signs & Badges: Xecutives® by Xstamper® are publicly displayed identification products distinctively shaped in a variety of fabric, metal, or plastic.

Reverse Engraved: Laser engraves the back of the plate using special plastic, through the color surface to reach a clear core. The clear engraved letters can then be filled with a latex acrylic-based paint to match any office décor. The process leaves a smooth dust free top surface and cuts housekeeping service needs.

Engraved Rubber: Engraved rubber is available in many different colors, textures and finishes. Fabrication equipment including the latest in laser and digital technology is used.
